New Scottish office announced for The Insurance Partnership.
The Insurance Partnership, one of Yorkshire’s leading Independent Commercial Insurance Brokers, today announced the opening of their first office in Scotland.
The office, which is based in the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce Enterprise Centre, in Dalkeith, is part of an ongoing expansion plan by the company, which has UK operations in Hull, York and Sutton Coldfield.
The Insurance Partnership handles £36m of client’s money each year and provides bespoke Corporate and Commercial insurance programmes and also offers high net worth Private Client Management, Commercial Finance, Health Insurance and Financial Services.
The new office will be led by Scott Davidson, 36, who has worked for The Insurance Partnership for five years and has more than 17 years experience in the industry.
The move marks a return home for Scott, who was born in nearby Danderhall and educated at Dalkeith High School, after previously working in Dublin, Leeds and Hull.
He said: “I have enjoyed working in different places but it was always my intention to come back and establish myself here because I have such strong connections both personally and with the area’s business community.”
Scott added that he wanted to build on The Insurance Partnership’s success in England by bringing a “professional face” to business insurance in the Midlothian region.
He said: “I have the backing of a highly experienced team of in-house underwriters and claims support, so it is like having a big company on your doorstep with the ethos of treating clients as people rather than statistics.”
Richard Tuplin, a Director at The Insurance Partnership, said the company is keen to significantly raise its profile in Scotland over the next few years he is delighted to be opening a new office.
He said: “The insurance Partnership already has an established client base in Scotland and Scott can now provide our services locally whilst expanding the office with the acquisition of new clients.”
