The Insurance Partnership announces sponsorship deal with York City Knights
The Insurance Partnership, one of Yorkshire’s leading independent Insurance Brokers, is delighted to announce their association with York City Knights RLFC by sponsoring Joe McLocklan, who this season will be sporting the number 9 shirt for the team.
Richard Tuplin, Director of The Insurance Partnership comments “we were thrilled to get involved with the York City Knights and to get the opportunity to sponsor a young, local, professional player. Joe has strong links to The Insurance Partnership and is a great player who has a fantastic attitude. We are looking forward to seeing him, and all of the other players take the field".
The sponsorship, forms part of The Insurance Partnership’s wider initiative to support regional sport, and is particularly aimed at professional sports clubs who champion their local communities such as, York City Knights, who have an active Community Development Programme.
Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Joe McLocklan said “I want to thank The Insurance Partnership for the sponsorship; it’s a massive bonus for me knowing that I have their support behind me.”
York City Knights’ first competitive game of 2010 will be at Rochdale Hornets in the Northern Rail Cup. The Knights travel to Rochdale on Sunday, January 31, with their first league match scheduled for Sunday, February 28 at their home ground, Huntington Stadium situated two miles north of the city centre at Monk's Cross, York.
