The Insurance Partnership continues support for Youth Cricket Club
As the Ashes come to their exciting climax, a local cricket league, the East Yorkshire Cricket Alliance (EYCA) is continuing to thrive thanks in part to sponsorship provided by Hull company, The Insurance Partnership.
The EYCA was formed in 1998 and since then has supported many local clubs through league and cup prize money, as well as paying out grants to help further youth cricket in the local area and improve cricket grounds and facilities. The Insurance Partnership has sponsored the league for the last three seasons as part of the company’s efforts to encourage grassroots level sport in the Hull and East Yorkshire area.
Les Reveley, Commercial Director of The Insurance Partnership, said:
“The Insurance Partnership is delighted to sponsor the East Yorkshire Cricket Alliance and to be associated with the Youth League. It is a great pleasure to be investing into something which benefits both young people and the community."
“By supporting the Alliance, The Insurance Partnership is aiming to encourage more children to play and enjoy cricket, which we feel is important. The aim is to give everyone the opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of the game and The East Yorkshire Cricket Alliance does a great job of getting East Yorkshire’s young people involved and we are thrilled to be able to support them."
Steve Berry, Hon. Treasurer of EYCA, said:
"This partnership has been a major boost to the continuation of the East Yorkshire Cricket Alliance. The league is very pleased that a company of the size and reputation of The Insurance Partnership is willing to get involved with local cricket. The sponsorship they provide enables us to pay grants to our membership teams for the improvement of their grounds, facilities and equipment and in particular to help the growth of youth cricket in the area.”
EYCA is affiliated to the Yorkshire Cricket Council and enters teams in their annual play-offs. The league runs two cup competitions; the Cup for the Premier and First Division teams and the Plate for Second and Third Division teams.
This year’s finals took place at Hessle Cricket Club on 9 August 09 and Hull & Y. P. I Cricket Club on 16 August 09 with Cup holders, North Ferriby Cricket Club, retaining the cup and Beverley Town Cricket Club winning the plate.
The Insurance Partnership is a regional success story. Established in 1993, the company employs over 150 members of staff, handles £35 million of its clients’ money each year and continues to operate as one of the leading commercial insurance brokers in Yorkshire.
The Insurance Partnership provides bespoke corporate programmes with dedicated teams focussing on haulage and logistics, the legal and accountancy professions, agriculture, high net worth with private client management and Health Insurance.
